Mestre Suassuna is world renowned.  He is central to the preservation and international growth of Capoeira.  He is also a significant role model for all of us.  His is admired for his smile and skill, and his unique musicality.  There is humour in everything that he does, but always with an element of dignity.

Mestre Suassuna clarified this art is not to be used for violence.  In his visit to Manchester in 2006 the Mestre emphasised to all visitors that integral to the quality of Capoeira is control and constraint.  Capoeira has survived and grown through centuries of struggle to emerge as this beautiful game.  This site is dedicated to Mestre Suassuna as a great inspiration, and our Grand Master.
